Valuation is an essential part of the Merger and Acquisition process. A good valuation is the result of a thorough investigation of all fiscal, legal and business economic aspects of the company.
The valuation report lays an important foundation in an upcoming negotiation process.

Other than mergers and acquisitions, there are numerous other conceivable situations which require valuation, such as:

• buying out a (fellow) shareholder
• considering a Management Buy-Out
• participation of staff in the company
• expanding or starting a business through acquisition
• looking for other shareholders due to growth
• divorce with entitlement to a portion of the shares
• investment by a holding company or informal investor

Drs. Jacques Jetten RV and Mr. Sjef Geurts RV of Aeternus have both successfully completed the Business Valuation course at the Rotterdam School of Management and are Register Valuators.

A Register Valuator affiliated with the NIRV has the knowledge, expertise and training to be able to perform complex valuations. Membership of the NIRV provides the necessary quality assurances, not only in terms of professional knowledge but also with regard to their social and technical standards. In relation to the latter, the NIRV has drawn up a code of conduct and business.
